Late night art with a view

Meeting up with a friend last Thursday evening, we serendipitously stumbled upon the new MCA's open late night. Admittedly there was a lot more time spent in the cafe than the gallery itself (and I didn't actually get around to seeing the 24-hour video The Clock), but some delicious wine with the backdrop of incredible views was the perfect way to spend Friday-eve.

If you're strapped for plans tonight (or any Thursday) I'd definitely recommend a visit - you could take the cultured route and actually work your way through the gallery before rewarding yourself with a vino on the rooftop.

The bright plastic chairs and constant stream of tourists keep the mood breezy rather than pretentious.
Unadulterated view of our iconic architecture.
Cheese always helps.
Definitely one for when visitors are in town - and entry is free!
